On Sunday, October 26th, 2014, RAI Institute held a discussion panel in Kuwait titled “The Growing Threat of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL)”.
The discussion was divided into two panels, the first of which was moderated by Mr. Fawaz AlSirri and the two speakers were Dr. Shafeeq Ghabra, Professor of Political Science at Kuwait University, and Dr. Nader Hashemi,Associate Professor, Josef Korbel School of International Studies, University of Denver and Director, Center for Middle East Studies.

The speakers on this panel were Associate Professor of Middle Eastern Politics in the Department of International and Area Studies at the University of Oklahoma, Dr. Samer Shehata; Associate Professor of Political Science at Kuwait University – The Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy – Tufts University, Dr. Hamad AlBolushi; and Researcher & Writer on Political thoughts & Islamic movements – King Saud University Riyadh, Mr. Nawaf AlQudaimi.
